Attacks on him are really attacks on the black church, claims the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. in a speech to the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Monday. Throughout his speech—which was more of a sermon to a willing congregation—Wright compared South Africa’s former apartheid to the current treatment of black Americans in the USA.

Wright continued his railing against anyone who questions his sermons as unpatriotic. This issue surfaces at the worst possible time for the African American Presidential hopeful following Obama’s glorified lecture to the American People on race trying to save his campaign and explain away his 20+ years of close relationship with Pastor Jeremiah Wright, while denouncing his remarks. Senator Obama “affirmed” his Christian faith in this church; he uses Wright as a “sounding board” to “make sure I’m not losing myself in the hype and hoopla.”

In light of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s comments damning America, he was asked if he owed the American people an apology. Wright was also asked if he believed America was still damned. “It’s about policy, not the American people,” said Wright. “God condemns some practices.”

Obama aides said Wright had rebuffed their recent offers of public relations assistanceObama critics who view Wright’s repeated diatribe as NOT a favor to Obama - but to even the score for Obama throwing Pastor Wright under the bus for political convenience and confusing Wright’s racism with that of some mystery radical anti-American, instead of a friendship and spiritual partnership - which it was. Barack Obama chose Trinity United Church of Christ. Obama picked Jeremiah Wright. Jeremiah Wright had little to do with it other than accept the friendship. The Obama campaign cries ignorance to Pastor Wright’s racism crusade recently in the media. The Obama campaign crying ignorance has been done so often in reacting to their many mis-steps that many a watchful eye have come to expect it almost exclusively on most of their policy issues and campaign efforts. Why is this NOW a issue - it always was taking place, but many of liberal media had been covering it up in a misguided course of convoluted denial.

Obama

Obama went on to defend his black preacher, noting everything has been taken out of context including his unpatriotic remarks and the racial divide that many of his sermons were centered around. At the very start of Obama’s official candidacy announcement on Feb. 10, 2007, in the shadow of the Old State Capitol in Springfield, IL, Wright was a central figure in Obama’s life and had been expected to lead an invocation of some kind,, but never appeared.

The wheels have come off of Barack Obama’s presidential aspirations with race now the central issue of his campaign - who is electable and why privilege matters. All of Barack Obama’s focus groups and charm are unraveling right in front of the American People. The ruse is now out in the open for all to see. Yes, the polished image comes from many, many focus groups that have honed Obama’s image and oral delivery over his career in politics - even from the very beginning running for the Illinois State Legislature. Slick?

In front of 30 television cameras, Wright’s audience cheered him on as the minister mocked the media and, at one point, did a little victory dance on the podium… American Urban Radio’s April Ryan, confirmed that Wright’s security was provided by bodyguards from Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam.

Wright proclaims an attack on him is an attack on the black church! Seen from Wright’s point of view, this is his chance to defend himself against the “corporate-owned media,” and he pointedly noted that “I am not running for the Oval Office.” It is now Pastor Wright’s turn to lecture America on why race is the issue and try to save the Obama Presidential campaign.

Obama’s Jeremiah Wright Racism Speech - Polling Shock

You didn’t view Obama’s fraudulent speech on race (save the Obama campaign was the reality), or know about Obama’s Church affiliation – read on…

Wright’s sermon at Obama’s very first service, highlighted in his book and his 3/18 speech as an epiphanic moment, was controversial and objectionable enough – but it didn’t make him leave United Trinity Church of Christ in Chicago pastored by Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. since 1972. It made him join the church! Obama’s Chicago church is the largest congregation in the United Church of Christ, a denomination that is widely known for its liberal political views.

In his big March 18th race speech Obama reads the passage from his book that describes his emotional reaction to this very sermon (his “first service at Trinity”)–how it made “the story of a people” seem “black and more than black.” d) This is also the sermon that gave Obama the title of his next book, The Audacity of Hope. e) The “profound mistake” of this sermon is not that Wright “spoke as if our society was static”–Obama’s analysis on Feb. 18th. The problem is that “white folks’ greed” is not the main cause of a “world in need.” -
Slate Magazine - March 30, 2008

Obama recently admitted that he found Jesus through Pastor Wright who is one of his mentors. In 1991, Obama joined the church in a formal ceremony, signifying his acceptance of the Christian faith and his allegiance to Trinity. Wright also performed the marriage ceremony for Obama and his wife Michelle Robinson, and baptized their two daughters.

Barack’s pastor Jeremiah Wright was one of the first people he thanked after his election to the Senate in 2004. Also, the title of Obama’s bestseller “The Audacity of Hope” comes from one of Wright’s sermons.
