Gates Joins Buffett Chorus to Tax the Rich More

Stupid remarks...

Bill Gates (richest American) noted “taxes are going to have to go up” and thus he’d prefer that they “go up more on the rich than everyone else. That’s just justice. There needs to be “a sense of shared sacrifice,” he said, adding, “right now, I don’t feel like people like myself are paying as much as we should.”

Perry Mutters Incoherent ‘Perryisms’, as His Debate Message Fails Again

GOP Presidential Primary Debate - Orlando, FL 9-22-2011

Rick Perry has been unable to seize the narrative of any of the GOP debates to date, and to many astonished onlookers his muttering of incoherent sentences (Perryisms), again as he did in the California debate, at times exhibiting a fish out of water. “It’s not the first time that Mitt has been wrong on some issues before.” ?? One improper English language statement of at least 4 incoherent Perry sentences.

How about this incoherent whopper-of-a-Perryism - “I think Americans just don’t know sometimes which Mitt Romney they’re dealing with. Is it the Mitt Romney that was on the side of — against the Second Amendment before he was for the Second Amendment? Was it — was before — he was before the social programs from the standpoint of — he was for standing up for Roe versus Wade before he was against first — Roe versus Wade? Him — he was for Race to the Top. He’s for Obamacare and now he’s against it. I mean, we’ll wait until tomorrow and — and — and see which Mitt Romney we’re really talking to tonight.”
Whew — even after re-reading Perry’s mixed up thoughts three or four times it is hard to make sense of it. No wonder business is flocking to Texas — they have a nitwit stooge eating out of their hand on his hind legs drooling with all the attention.

David Brooks, OpEd columnist of New York Times rightfully acknowledged Perry’s verbal miscues in all three previous debates by claiming Perry is just unclear! See debate transcript below.
It has become obvious that Perry’s brief tenure of ‘swagger’ to the casual observer came from carefully (handler’s), controlled environments to shield his frequent social gaffes. No wonder Rick Perry refused to debate Bill White, Houston’s popular term-limited Mayor running for Texas Governor — or Perry would NOT be Governor today!

Front runner Rick Perry's crony capitalism ...

Rick Perry’s Texas world of good ol’ boy crony capitalism continues to haunt his national campaign. Perry’s retreat from his previous tenuous campaign polices (for campaign donation purposes), continues to flounder. Some believe Perry’s campaign style is reminiscent of how to become a Texas millionaire. You start out with a billion dollars which is then burned in the mirrors section of a glass shop.

Bushisms - the book of verbal incompetence

Has Perryisms replaced Bushisms for the dive to the bottom of competency chain ???

America has already experienced the horrendous consequences of the GOP’s previous manipulative politics with carefully controlled circumstances and more importantly the hidden weak character behind the scripted messages and the extensive polling forcing their Republican candidates to adapt to that day’s public focus.

When it becomes obvious that the individual (candidate), literally implodes during a spontaneous adlib situation – it’s time to move on to the real deal. A critical thinker reacting on-their-feet is America’s minimum requirement in today’s volatile world. Not another manipulated G.W. Bush style Administration for sure.

Rick Perry's contrived facial expressions ...

Perry’s frequent contrived facial expressions were reminiscent of Al Gore exhibiting awkward debate behavior that had an adverse effect on critical onlookers. I wouldn’t expect any Republican audience to acknowledge the vocabulary dysfunction for Perry, as it brings back the horrors of G.W. Bush’s social embarrassment.
Unfortunately, the main stream media has done little to non-existent factual reporting of the purported front-runner’s Perryisms during these GOP debates. It’s as if there is some sort of automatic media mulligan since Perry is the purported front-runner.

But, it is extremely difficult for the American People to swallow (Perry’s continual do-overs), as there is absolutely no wiggle room for good ol’ boy shenanigans and smoke and mirrors running in place, much less backward momentum which is just not acceptable in America’s leadership.

WordCloud-GOP Debate Orlando, FL Debate 9-22-11

Perry ducked answering many questions, especially foreign policy, as did previous House Speaker Newt Gingrich who frequently replaced answering questions with carefully cued phrases intended for positive audience reaction. Herman Cain offered nothing that hasn’t been heard before from him except the surprise that he is not a hands down Libertarian.
Ex-New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson, allowed to finally debate by Rupert Murdoch even though his polling numbers are non-existent, is another Libertarian like Ron Paul and who believes in a perfect world — and so budget cutting is the answer to everything. By the two self-professed Libertarians – Paul and Johnson there was a constant reinforcement of only looking at budget cutting as a market stimulus, seeming to conveniently forget the GOP’s laissez-faire business policies of little or no finanical regulation that created the current financial chaos now devastating world communties everywhere.

    Wow -
The exchange with the jack ass — I am sorry that I missed that one. Seems like a real thug! Is this site run by political pros? Seems like a lot of good info with emphasis on politics.

The jack a-hole does seem like a typical right wing nut though… you seem to have handled him like he was a toddler or something — good job !

    Keep it up !!!

      Hello dwebster1078 -
      Thank for the encouragement!
Every now and then, someone hell bent on disruption attempts to do just that.
I was hoping this person would actually bring something intelligent to the table from a different perspective. When this person digressed to name calling and personal threats in an attempt to intimidate — that’s when they are completely discounted as credible and further discussion from them is banned. Some people have to learn the hard way
I have turned over personal threats before to law enforcement — this is nothing new. It usually comes from desperate individuals with little to none social skills that do not understand how to engage with others with a different perspective.. This commentary attempts to stay above the cave man chest thumping… he said — she said adolescent behavior.

      Have a good day !

You’re missing the point..im against ALL WELFARE (corporate, or otherwise). I hated the bank bailouts. I actually agree with Ron Paul, on domestic matters. We ned to end this welfare, nanny state. Stop printing Money, and return To A Gold Standard. I actually disagreed with Mr. Bush on not securing the border, that dumb Medicare RX thing (when I think Medicare should be completely private), and for starting that bailout nonsense. I hate all welfare (for corporations AND for lazy crackheads with 6 kids.…both). Stop all type of welfare, and subsidies…stop them all..yes, stop oil subsidies too.…ALL OF THEM…Eliminate The Dept Of Education, Transportation, EPA, etc.….those rights belong to the states..Yes, where I actually disagreed with Mr. bush, was, where I found him TOO LIBERAL. I actually like Mr. Cain’s tax idea, but I don’t think it goes far enough..I like Mike Huckabee’s idea of taxing only consumption..in any case, we need a fair, or flat tax. Stop redistributing, and punishing success. I do indeed hate that GE doesn’t pay taxes..let’s fix that..but I also hate that 47% of Americans pay no Income Tax..lets all pay at the same rate.…AND FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, LET’S FINALLY REPEAL OBAMACARE

jack wrote: “those rights belong to the states”… Why are you trying to over-throw the United States government and the U.S. Constitution? The failed throw-back Articles of Confederation has already been settled in the American Civil War. There is no valid reason to try to relive one of the worst times in American history. What do you personally stand to gain from over-turning the U.S. Constitution? Can you clarify your anarchist direction?

You incoherent clown, don’t write treasonous junk like that. All i want, is for us to uphold the 10th Ammendment and let all rights not enumerated in the constitution belong to the states..in fact, i’m for strict interpretation of the constitution..I believe in state’s rights. State’s rights rule..the federal government must be limited

The personal attacks must end… I’ve allowed you excessive leeway to voice your opinion … consider this perspective — the federal goverment must be large enough and up to the task of reining in abusive corporations that have made a mockery of the U.S. Constitution and democracy style government with Citizens United misinterpreted by the Supreme Count. The federal government is the only one big enough to brawl and manup to the attempt by GOP to steamroll a plutocracy as a mandate with pending election.

We will agree to disagee on these issues and remain civilized. The Constitution has evolved with our changing complex world. Simple solutions can not lead in a undefined global environment. You can count on Clarence Thomas to vote anyway you want him to if you have him or his wife on payroll as the Koch Brothers have shown the American public.

You made malicious attacks on people who don’t even represent your country. That is why I reacted, like that. I as an American desire a centrist America. The right angle you refer to has not been the manner inwhich the partisan debate over everything including the time has been viewed by Americans. Centrists compromise, swell-headed nincomepoops bicker over the time and wrongly cost the United States a credit down-grade. Making history in the wrong direction is not something to boast about.

Placing everyone nicely in a box with a title doesn’t work anymore. If free-market capitalism was truly that, instead of loop-holed infested crony capitalism or Free-Ride Enterprise, which it is exactly what happens with bank accounts hidden off-shore and earmarks going to campaign donor projects. These controversial issues battle lines are intentionally blurred with slippy slope legal shenanigans that make it almost impossible to use past arguments to attack specific circumstances. How do you defend your accusation of socialism as applied to specifically what — anyway?

WE routinely Say “ain’t” but never mate. If we use “mate”, it means sexual partner, as in my “mate” is my husband. It is one of those few words that have different meanings in British, and American English…there is a wikipedia page devoted to the subject of such words. For example, I’m sure you spell “analyse, and colur” whereas we would spell “analyze, and color”..no wrong, or right-just pointing out that you shouldn’t pretend to be American, if you’re not..i have many friends in England, and Australia, and both are fine places, by the way

Anything other than pure capitalism is socialism, to 1 degree, or another. And i stand by what my wife Jill wrote, too.…no American Says “mate” unless they are referring to their sexual partner.….and if you are referring to me that way, At Least Get To Know me first, LOL.…and we routinely Say “ain’t”.…It’s just that “mate” is more of a British and Australian (and maybe even Canadian) expression, that isn’t used to mean “friend” in the U.S.. Instead we Say buddy, dude, man, chum, pal, chief, etc. You aren’t American, and if you are, you just got here, you’re not Born here

No worries — I’m not into finding partners on the internet — I completely settled in that area. A friend of mind from New Zealand got me into using the “mate” term as a friendly gesture — as he used it commonly all the time. It struck a friendly chord. I don’t use “ain’t” nor many people I know, as it represent poors diction and the southern dialect that has their own doublespeak.
Capitalism is no longer regarded pure this side of socialism and the overused misapplied term has gotten abused by the ones forwarding it as American propoganda as some manly code for being a real American. Horse manure! Real manly code (or whatever you call it). is not bullshitting your way through life and speaking from a factual benchmark realtime (not what it used to be, or what you wish it was), and then when everyone else is on to this adolescent ruse but you — you become the joke.
