4th of July (Independence Day) - Happy ?

Before everyone jumps to conclusions here and categorizes this author as un-American or worse - please read on. It became increasingly disheartening doing the research for this article - in that many Americans are and/or will be facing in the upcoming months loss of their job, and then possibly loss of their home along with their dignity and pride somewhere along the way.

Meanwhile the U.S. government grandstands with media events to gratify the population, while at the same time neglecting their basic needs and corporate media glorifies this Independence day draped in July 4th patriotism everywhere (I am patriotic too and desire to continue to be so in the future for all the right reasons, but NOT because I am told to), and we all view fireworks displays and enjoy barbecues, parades and many celebrate this holiday off from work spending time with their family and friends - this becomes a wake up call America… maybe the last notice with time still to be useful before it is too late to turn our ship around. The following article really becomes crystal clear to anyone that can “do the math”. It has become clear that the U.S. Economy does NOT grow as a service industry in a globalized marketplace with sustainable careers to support American families.

On celebration of Independence Day (July 4th 1776), in America in the past are the memorable expressions commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain that many of us grew up with and most often used - “Happy 4th of July” or “Happy Independence Day” which has carried significant and unique meaning concerning the birth of a NEW nation… America, that would become the leader of the free world. That… my friends is a privilege, truly hoping our nation does NOT become obsessed with conquering other sovereign lands.

This 4th of July 2008 may be the last time many of us Americans may ever feel truly happy about the 4th of July Independence Day meaning … as the true American Independence heritage fades more and more each and every passing day as corporate America out-sources domestic careers, not just jobs in which entire U.S. industries become void and gone overseas most likely forever to remote places such as Bangalore, India or SuZhou in China’s Zhejiang Province.

Convince America’s citizens with actions (NOT words), it ain’t so - the true meaning of America’s Independence becomes only a studied passage in our history, as the American displaced workers without a career or permanent shelter become virtually dependent on donations and food assistance from charitable organizations - because our federal and state governments don’t have the money to care for our own- it’s being spent on invasions of other countries to secure natural resources in order to maintain the corporate status quo of Big Oil and the many inter-connected industries associated with BIG Oil.

Americans need to have a huge reality check NOW with some old fashion soul searching about what is really taking place in America today and what to really expect on the other side of this unique and deepening recession.

This current 2008 recession is not the same as other recessions of the past for many reasons and many economists believe the American economy is only going to get worse - much worse! Out-sourcing is going to reach staggering proportions in the U.S. at the current rate, as the American economy deteriorates further into business abyss. It’s “CRUNCH TIME” !

You will most likely read a newspaper in the very near future written by some overseas worker in some far away off-shore location and who possibly has never physically been on The North American Continent soil. The overseas American surrogate worker was trained in 4 weeks by U.S. corporate out-source agencies about what our entire American culture is all about. Example: valentines days means the color red and symbolic hearts everywhere commercially and amorous relationships that deserve gift giving from chocolates to diamond pendants… and so on - that the entire US economy has become based on. Human robots or off-shore bot workers. Even India’s IT managers are concerned there might be a American backlash to their estimated annual $15- 20 billion industry benefiting from U.S. out-sourcing of the computer industry.

Medical Tourism is another out-sourced industry that is designed to impact the spiraling out-of-control high U.S. medical care with overseas treatment.

Remember the off-shore help desk that is completely out-of-touch with American culture… besides the difficulty of the language barrier and any of us that needed computer support from the manufacturer for the new computer just purchased went through overseas help desk hell… well this obnoxious concept is back with vengeance everywhere and is

destined to become more pervasive - so the Larry Ellisons of Oracle Corp or the Michael Dells of Dell Inc. or the Steve Ballmers of Microsoft Corp. can trample our institutions and wreck working industries and companies in order to have their own next biggest thing while self-serving themselves and their greedy investors who in many cases could care less about any harm caused, as long as they succeed with their self-prophecy and lots of profit! It has become all about money. One recent example is the Microsoft announcement on 4 different occasions that it would acquire Yahoo starting Feb 1, 2008 in a hostile takeover - hoping to weaken the company like a wounded animal or prey.

So far this arbitrage Yahoo hostile takeover tactic by Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft has cost his company almost $31,500,000,000.00 USD in fallen stock value and Bill Gates Microsoft co-founder, has fallen from the top billionaire position of the world due to stock devaluation, with the assistance of Carl Icahn (corporate raider), encouragement. Icahn is determined to destroy Yahoo, as his proxy fight includes replacing the entire Yahoo Board of Directors including the Yahoo founders. His actions are despicable!

When you have H&R Block or the other large national franchise tax preparation companies do your income tax - it’s done off-shore where your personal profile information is entered into databases for marketing purposes and sold to other companies without government regulation or your permission.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), under the G.W. Bush White House’s encouragement is preparing a timetable that will permit American companies to shift to the weaker international accounting practices and rules, which are set by a foreign organization and give companies greater latitude in reporting earnings. This comes after outrageous irregularities in current accounting practice loopholes that allowed American corruption fiascos such as Enron to occur that literally wiped out career pensions and life savings of many innocent Enron employees and outside investors. Some Enron employees are now destitute.

Enron’s widespread demise even greatly influenced the California Governors race through the 2003 recall of then Governor Gray Davis… which opened the door for the election of Arnold Schwarzenegger {once known as the world’s strongest man), as California’s next governor.

Did you know that Foreign securities regulators are beyond the reach of the U.S. Congress, which oversees American securities regulation through congressional confirmation proceedings, enforcement hearings and approval of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s budget?

When you have some types of x-rays taken at many hospitals across America at the present, chances are the individual that comes out of the hospital “development lab” is NOT a qualified “radiologist”, but a mere technician that coordinated sending your x-ray images in real-time overseas to be read by a radiologist in some distant off-shore location by some non-American citizen to interpret the results and within minutes just as if it was actually done in the next room expedite the lab results back to the hospital in real-time to the technician.

The tech casually walks out of the medical lab and discusses the x-ray results with the patient where the process enters the next phase of medical care- all without the patient’s knowledge that this was done off-shore by whoever… that’s if the off-shore medical lab performs as expected and expedites the results in a very timely manner. Who knows any better… but the organization’s financial officer that oversees a much richer bottom line in doing so.

Ford Motor Company said sales of its Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, and Volvo brands plunged by 28.1 percent in June, compared to the previous June. The declines were driven by weak sales of trucks and sport-utility vehicles (SUVs), until recently symbols of almost historic U.S. industrialism.

Sales of Ford SUVs plummeted 55 percent, followed by trucks andvans (37.8 percent) , crossover utility vehicles (15.8 percent), and cars (12 percent).

General Motors (GM), said its overall sales dropped by 18.5 percent in the year through June.

All of the so called “American” car companies will be manufacturing so called “American” cars with Mexican workers in Mexico. Many American hotels staff along with many restaurants kitchen staff and many current food processing facilities, school cafeterias, as well as most American agriculture is out-sourced and performed almost entirely by non- US citizens. Today!

Only Israel has a higher foreign labor rate greater than the U.S. No wonder Bill Gates has promoted Microsoft’s need for more green-card immigrant employees, as these individuals are mostly paid below previous industry standards and in many cases are desperate and willing to exceed requirements of most domestic US citizen employees just in order to work for less - while undermining America’s economic future. Corporate America is doing it’s best to completely eradicate the mom and pop family business option, thus dissolving the American dream.

Furthermore… many machined products and parts are currently manufactured off-shore. Out-sourced! By 2015, it’s expected that China’s manufacturing industry at 21% of the world total, will match the WORLD percentage of manufacturing share of the United States.

So, what is left for Americans to have to look forward to in a stable career and economic future… you are beginning to wonder? Not much under the current scenario. And that is the whole point of this article. Life in America is going to be dramatically different thanks to the high-flying corporate executives up in the penthouse who even after managing their companies into huge losses or worse, get salaries equivalent to 11 - 18xs what company managers get in other industrialized nations such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan or Canada.

All for the sake to expedite more of the same dismantling of America industry and American careers. The calculated end result of all of this extraordinary out-sourcing is the disintegration of the entire middle class of American society, which will be impacted the most and who will then become lower class citizenry.

Solutions to head off whole out-sourcing of America are few and far between with mandates possibly the only viable answer to stop the wrecking ball of American society (out-sourcing).

It is time to re-examine what the newly redefined term “free-market” means in the globalized complex world and American social structure. It surely does NOT mean that the “free market” end result becomes once again a medieval time of barrons and peasants with the eradicated middle class society evaporated.

You really have to wonder with all of this American dismantling of industry and employment careers taking place with the endorsement of Corporate America and therefore also the U.S. Government - why are our spy satellites and the newly out-sourced prison industry being turned inward on American citizens for domestic spying and warehousing of the ever-growing criminal element. Maybe officials are seeing a trend of the off-shoot of the underground dual economy that is operating under the radar and away from main stream headlines. Maybe something else even bigger is looming in the future.
